Tooth Fairy Pillow

My daughter's first tooth fell out today.  I had seen little pillows that other people had made for their children for their teeth to go in and thought I would like to make one too.  Unfortunately I hadn't gotten around to it and so when her tooth fell out today it was an emergency make!  She loves giraffes so I used her favourite giraffe fabric to make a little pillow and sewed 'TEETH' onto a small pink pocket to go on the front of it.  She seemed to like it and it is now safely under her pillow with her tooth inside it waiting for the tooth fairy...

Quick cushion

After making the bag for my daughter from the Hello Kitty fabric, I had a bit left over so asked her what she wanted.  She decided she wanted a little cushion or pillow to take to bed with her.  I made it really simple by using just the remainder fabric and a second spotty piece for the back.  I sewed it all up face to face and then turned it the right way round. I added stuffing and then for speed just sewed it up along the open seam.  My daughter definitely enjoyed it!

Patchwork cushion

I decided to learn how to use a sewing machine just before Christmas and with the help of a very lovely textiles teacher and her room, I have been able to make this (very) small patchwork cushion for my daughter.  Even though it's a bit crooked, I'm very proud of it!
